Ohio Child Health Improvement Partnership
Welcome to the Ohio Child Health Improvement Partnership!
The Ohio Child Health Improvement Partnership (OCHIP) is an evolving statewide collaboration of individuals and organizations within the state of Ohio that seeks to develop and support initiatives that achieve measurable improvements in children’s healthcare and outcomes through improvement science.
The OCHIP collaboration began with an initial project focused on optimizing developmental outcomes for young children and grew as we learned about similar work in other states. The following list of projects, funded and supported by a variety of organizations, are examples of improvement science methods at work throughout the state.

Keys to success:
All of these projects employ the following tenets, which we believe are essential to improving outcomes for children:
- Work with practitioners to improve care at the front-lines
- Use quality improvement science methods to accelerate and sustain changes in care and outcomes
- Utilize data to identify gaps in children’s care and outcome
- Address and inform change at the family, practice, system, and policy level
- Build on the strengths of partners to achieve impact and broad range
